New Years Resolutions?
Happy 2019 to all my readers of my blog. It means the world to me that I have some readers and I hope I am impacting your life in some positive way with my blogs. Since it's now 2019 and everyone is talking about new year resolutions I thought I'd write a new blog about mine.
It seems like every where I turn someone is making a resolution about getting healthier, more fit, be a better version of themselves, go on vacation or something along those lines, but for my I have decided that one my new years resolutions is going to be to survive. Surviving 2019 is my resolution because my mental illness is constantly trying to end me and all I want is to survive this. I do not want my life to end by my own hands, but that's a constant struggle for me so this year I am going to fight, I'm going to live my life to the fullest and I am going to survive another year and I will survive this battle once again and will live to see 2020.
Another resolution of mine is to impact people's lives. I have a huge dream of just impacting even one person. With that being said this is my resolution because I have such a passion to help other's who are struggling with mental illness just like I am so this year I want to put my whole heart into finding ways to lift up others, support others struggling, impact people to make a change in the mental health world and help those who are struggling survive like I am and so many others are. I will continue to write my blog not only to help me get out my pain, my feeling and my story, but to also hopefully make a difference in someone considering suicide because ending your life is not the answer. We can survive this mental battle together. We can live our lives and yes it's going to be a struggle and yes it's not always going to be easy (it will never be easy this blog shows that much), but together we can learn to survive and learn to help not only others, but ourselves too.
My goals are not just for this year but for every year to come. My heart wants to help, my heart wants to save people, my heart wants to save me. I will do everything in my power to continue to put myself out there, the good, the bad and the ugly because I believe being open and honest on here not only helps me, but helps anyone who is struggling or someone who knows someone else who is struggling.
2019 is going to be the year that I hopefully make a difference. I am going to search for opportunities to be able to make a difference in someone's life or many people's lives whether that's with this blog or in person. I hope that there will be opportunities for me to share my story and hopefully impact people and show everyone that with strength we can be survivors of our illness and while it's going to be hard and it's going to be a struggle sometimes we can learn to live life to the fullest and we can learn to survive this. We don't have to leave this world by our hands we can and we will be survivor because we are strong enough, we are loved enough and we are worth it.
To end this post I want all of my readers to really think about their resolutions and think about how they will impact others. Make resolutions for not just this year but for years to come. Make resolutions that help others, but also help you live your best life because we are all worth having the best life we possibly can. You are all strong enough to live through the pain, hurt and mental illness. You are so worth fighting for so never ever stop fighting for YOURSELF!
With Love;
Brittany
