Stay for the Sunrise

I took this picture this morning on my way to work. I get asked sometimes if I like sunsets or sunrises better because I tend to take lots of pictures of both. I can never pick one though because to me they both have such meaning. For me the Sunrise signifies the meaning of a new day, a new start and it shows that I survived long enough to see the morning. A sunset signifies  that I survived another day, I made it through the struggles of that day and know when I wake up in the morning it will be a new start and another chance for me to keep fighting.
This morning though the sunrise was my favorite thing to look at. It reminded me that everything in this world might not be perfect or okay sometimes, but if you look hard enough you can find the beauty of the world somewhere. When you struggle with mental illness sometimes you don't know how you are ever going to make it through the day especially on the days your struggling most, but if you stop and take a second to just look around and breath you will see all the beauty around you in the tress, flowers, water and the sky. When things feel like they are falling apart remember that at the end of the day you survived to see the sun setting and in the morning remind yourself that you were strong enough to keep fighting to see another sunrise. It wont always be easy. Life is always going to be hard especially for someone who is struggling with mental illness, but if you start looking around and finding the beauty around you it will make the hardest days seem less are and it will remind you that life is worth living for. That these beautiful moments at the beginning of everyday and at the end of the day are worth living to see.
I want to show others you can find hope in the beauty of a sunrise. I want to show others that there are reasons to keep living and that a sunrise is worth waking up the next day for. I want to inspire those struggle just like Kevin Hines has inspired me to keep living everyday even though some days are a very big struggle for me I keep fighting and I want others to know this life is worth fighting through the pain to be able to see another beautiful sunrise!
If your struggling today look at this sunrise and remind yourself that this is a new day. You survived the struggles of yesterday and will survive the struggles of today because you are strong enough! If you feel like you have nothing left to fight for - fight for this picture right here. Fight to see another beautiful sunrise, fight to see another day where your struggles might not be as hard, fight to look into another sunrise and know, Damn I survived the hell I went through yesterday and still came out on the other side. No matter what never stop fighting to see another sunrise! Stay strong and always keep fighting!
